You’ll discuss whether you are also planning to purchase a new home in the area. Your agent will ask how you would prefer to communicate throughout the process and answer any questions you have.

COMPARATIVE MARKET ANALYSIS (CMA)

Next, your agent will schedule a visit to your home, perhaps accompanied by a few colleagues from Rutledge. After touring your property, your agent will prepare a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA), outlining how your house fits into the marketplace. You and your agent will meet again to go through the report in detail.

PLANNING PHASE

Informed by the CMA, the next task will be to work with your agent to determine your home-sale strategy. Your agent might suggest completing tasks like minor repairs or upgrades, decluttering, or home staging. We are always able to share the names of trusted local professionals to assist you with these pre-sale projects. You and your agent will also help you determine the best order in which to buy and sell in order to minimize your risk.

MARKETING YOUR HOME

Rutledge Properties offers a comprehensive strategy for marketing your property to prospective buyers and brokers. We will organize a brokers’ open house and a public open house and be present for all showings of your home. These events will be marketed on the Rutledge website, over email and social media, and through other channels to encourage the best possible attendance.
